Crystal Care

Crystals are created by Mother Earth, and some have been developing over thousands of years. There are many lines, lumps and bumps that make up the characteristics of a crystal, this is not a fault, rather the gems journey. Not all Crystals are the same, and that is why it’s important to understand the energy and properties of your gems. Crystals have geometric structures and a Hardness Scale – MOHS, this will help you to understand how your crystal should be handled.

Jewellery Care

All our Jewellery is 925 Sterling Silver – it is an alloy consisting of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, most commonly copper, to increase its durability and hardness, making it suitable for jewellery. Your 925 Sterling Silver will tarnishing due to the copper content reacting with sulphur-containing substances in the air, natural oils from our skin, leading to a black film on the surface.

Silver is very easy to clean, we highly recommend Jewellery Wipes for a quick clean. You can also use a jewellery cleaning dip – please check instructions of the cleaning agent, to ensure your treasures will be safe when encountering the dip.

We advise taking your Jewellery off before the following: showering, swimming (pools, spas or ocean), and cleaning. When crystals or gems encounter chemicals, salt or acidic items, they may bleach or dull the natural crystal or gem.
